| Seahawks 16, Raiders 0 - Seattle flattens Oakland
SEATTLE -- What's wrong with the Sea-hawks' defense? Nothing, especially if the game is played on Monday night. Seattle's beleaguered defense rose up and sacked Oakland quarterback Andrew Walter nine times and held the Raiders to 185 yards in a 16-0 win at rain-soaked Qwest Field. It was the second consecutive time the Sea-hawks have posted a shutout on Monday Night Football. In 2005, Seattle blanked Philadelphia 42-0. The win gave Seattle (5-3) a one-game lead over St. Louis in the NFC West. More important, though, was the performance of the Sea-hawks' defense, a struggling unit in recent weeks. "A lot of people were saying we weren't the team we were, so we needed tonight," said defensive tackle Craig Terrill, who led the defensive assault with a career-high three sacks.
